Creek Side Community Events & Workshops

The weather for Pumpkin Fest, this first full weekend in October looks like typical fall weather this year!  Possibly a little cool and wet but, the Creek Side Courtyard will fill with families enjoying the free games, pony rides, hayrides, hot dogs and of course all the bright colorful hues of the Fall Season, including a mountain of pumpkins none the less.  Lots of great photo opportunities to be created and captured.

At Creek Side Gardens we believe that joy comes from being connected and making active contributions to the community. Our free community events create a place where we come together to celebrate the seasons all through the calendar year.  The Event Season at Creek Side Gardens this summer has been especially fun, exciting and successful this year.

Our August Summer Harvest Celebration featured the fine summer harvest vegetable and fruit dishes from our partner, Buttercup Catering Company.  Plus, live music and a raffle give away of free plants and gardening supplies is always popular!

Saturday morning workshops take on a seasonal flair this time of year as well.  Pumpkin and Succulent Décor Sat. Oct. 14 is a fun, easy and unique project that will amaze your friends and family with your creative fall holiday decoration talents.

Plant an Indoor Spring Bulb Garden the following Sat. Oct. 21 is one of our most popular fall workshops.  Imagine planting a window box full of brightly colored tulip, daffodil and crocus bulbs.  Usually this is taking place out of doors.  In this case, we will plant them in the greenhouse.  Since Dutch bulbs require a cooling treatment which they would receive in nature during the winter months, Creek Side will then overwinter your window box to provide the cooling treatment.  You will come back in February to pick up your window box.  In your home the flower bulbs will come alive and grow into beautiful flowers for you to enjoy as an early spring treat.  Lots of fun, get signed up now as space is limited.
