On March 20th it will officially be spring! While the weather is warming up and giving all of us the itch to garden again, be ready with these garden essentials to have on hand. The Creek Side Garden Shop is fully stocked and ready for the start of a brand new gardening season. Pre-emergent herbicide
The proper lawn fertilizer for April/May is ‘All-Seasons’ from Fertilome. All Seasons has a pre-emergent that is a weed preventer for new weeds trying to germinate but it does not kill the weeds you may already have.
Another early essential is ‘Preen’ this is a pre-emergent weed preventor for your garden beds.
Compost & Potting Soils
Use our Nature’s Yield Organic Compost, a proprietary blend specifically for the independent garden centers and blended right here in Colorado. Compost is also great to spread out a top layer to your existing perennial beds and/or raised beds.
Premier ProMix is the potting soil that Creek Side uses in the greenhouse. A premium quality general purpose mix for all uses.
Seed Starting
Botanical Interests seeds, a Colorado based seed company, is our ‘go to’ seed company every year. We have a great selection of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and mixed wildflower blends. Now is a great time to start cold crops and pick up other varieties to start soon. Soil, peat pots, seed trays, heat mats and more are all here to give you a successful start.
