Everyone is unique in their style of what gift giving means to them. Some relish the traditional gift for the holiday while others pride themselves on being able to grow a living thing during the winter months.
A tale of 2 styles; two of the most popular choices are candles (traditional) holiday décor or blooming holiday plants to watch grow and flourish such as Amaryllis or Poinsettia.
GLOW IT – We always have a vast array of candles for the season. Pearl Street Candles and Rosy Rings are made here in Colorado! Here is a sample of the scents we have here at Creek Side.
Pearl Street – Frasier Fir, Winter Wonderland, Frost and Snowfall, Brewed Coffee, Buffalo Plaid, Colorado Breeze to name a few.
Rosy Rings – Forest, Red Current, Lemon Lychee
Himalayan – made in Georgia, USA – Evergreen, Grapefruit Pine, Pumpkin Sandalwood, Lilac and Leather, Bourbon Vanilla.
Vance Kitiera – our basic, unscented candle in pear shapes, pillars and tapers. The VK GLOW candle is battery operated with a remote, cased in the signature VK wax.
GROW IT – we all have that friend or family member with the ‘green thumb’. Not so much a traditional gift getter. They will love you giving something they can watch grow and nurture.
Amaryllis and Paperwhite bulbs – start these bulbs around Halloween and you should have color and bloom by Christmas! Start bulbs in a pot with soil and water in the soil. Place in a bright location and watch the magic begin. Some Amaryllis are prepared in a ‘wax vase’. No water required, just give it some light and love and it will start to sprout.
Poinsettia – classic holiday plant to give as a gift. Poinsettias will arrive Thanksgiving week and we will have many varieties from traditional red or white to fun varieties such as Marble, Jingle Bells, Glitter and Cinnamon.
Blooming holiday plants – consider different beautiful blooming plants like Cyclamen, Kalanchoe, or Anthurium.
Norfolk Pine – makes a wonderful ‘Christmas tree’ drape with garland or colorful balls.
