Cactus Care Tips
Cactus are some of the easiest plants to grow and require very little from their plant parent. Check out these cactus care tips:
Light Requirements
- Bright sunlight – at least 6 hours daily
- South-facing windows are ideal – but an east or west facing window can work as well.
Water Guidelines
- Allow soil to dry out completely before watering.
- Ensure pots have drainage holes to help prevent roots from rotting.
- In summer – water weekly. In winter – water every 2-3 weeks.
Potting Soil

Planting
A good tip for handling cactus is to use a thick pair of gloves and handle the plants with a pair of tongs to protect your hands from the sharp spines.
