Come out to VOTE and check out the Creek Side Gardens “Flower Trials”.

You might think that we have lost our minds but…now is the perfect time in the season to begin planning your garden and landscape for next year.  What worked?  What plants would do better?  Here at Creek Side, we are here to help you by finding out what is new and exciting.  By stopping in and checking out the flower trials you will be ahead of the game come next spring.

Creek Side Gardens Event Schedule

Trial Viewing and Voting

• STARTS Thursday, Aug.8^th from 12-6pm
• Friday, Aug. 9^th – 9-6pm and
• ENDS Saturday, Aug. 10^th – 9-12pm – pickup raffle tickets

Each day you can peruse our flower trials, vote on your top 3, take photos and enjoy yummy snacks and cold lemonade.

Trial flower pots available for sale after the raffle.  $12 each.

Regional Industry Flower Trials

Every August, flower ‘breeders’ (such as Proven Winners) grow and showcase new varieties for the next growing season.  Colorado State University in Ft. Collins hosts one of the largest and most respected flower trial gardens in all the US.  Hundreds of industry professionals (including your Creek Side Green Team members) will visit the trial gardens for a formal evaluation of each of the 1200 flower varieties on trial.  This information is especially helpful as we are now making choices about what flowers to grow for 2025.

The CSU Flower Trial Gardens are open to the public and would be a great stop for your next visit to Ft. Collins.

The industry trials are August 6^th and 7^th and then, here at Creek Side, we will be having our own trials for our customers on Thursday, August 8^th – Saturday, August 10^th.  See for yourself the stunning good work our industry flower breeders have produced in the last year.
