Who is ‘Laura’ Sunbeckia?

‘Laura’ was created and bred in Germany.  A cross between a sunflower and a Rudbeckia (commonly known as a ‘Black Eyed Susan’). ‘Laura’ was presented at the annual flower trials here in Colorado a couple of years back and was a top winner.  It’s easy to see why; Her large, vibrant flowers, sturdy stems and long-lasting blooms.  And her green eyes set her apart from her sisters.  Adding ‘Laura’ Sunbeckia to your late summer garden or patio will give you great garden performance as well as a great patio pot.  Laura prefers to bask in the sun, so give her plenty of light and water daily. With proper pruning of the spent blooms and fertilize weekly Laura should flower into the fall however, she is not winter hardy here in Colorado.

Laura can be found here at Creek Side Gardens gloriously growing in a 10” patio pot for $29.95.  As we move into the fall season, her golden yellow blooms will be stunning with a purple or red mum, pansies, kale or other late fall color.
